His primary area of expertise is human resource development, strategic human resource management and entrepreneurial leadership. His passion in organization innovation and change has made him to involve extensively in research, teaching, training, consulting and coaching. He has published over hundred journal articles, conference proceedings, and seminar papers. Naresh Kumar is an active member of several international associations. He have received notable awards such as The ASIA HRD Award - 2017, Outstanding Faculty in Organizational Development Award (Venus International Foundation - 2017), Global Excellence Service Award (Educational Services-2017) by the Malaysian United Integration Organization in Collaboration with Prime Ministers Department Malaysia, Outstanding Scientist in Human Resource Development (Venus International Foundation - 2019), Best Professor of 2019, The Association of Scientists, Developers and Faculties and The Hind Rattan (Jewel of India - 2020), the highest Indian diasporic award granted annually to non-resident persons of Indian origin (NRIs) by the NRI Welfare Society of India.
