Dr. Valida Karimova Azerbaijan University, Azerbaijan
Biography: Valida Karimova, graduated from secondary school No. 47 (English bias) in 2008, in Baku. During 2008-2012 years she finished a bachelor's degree from the "English language and literature" major with Honor Diploma. During 2011-2012 years she worked as an English instructor at “Dunya School”. 2013-2015, she finished a master's degree from the “Linguistics” major with an Honor diploma. During 2012-2017 she worked as a Dean assistant at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. From 2017 to 2019 she worked as a Vice-Dean at the same faculty. Since 2011, she has substantial teaching experience. From 2015 to 2020 she worked as an instructor at Khazar University, and has been working at Azerbaijan University. She is an experienced reviewer in several foreign journals such as “International Journal of Linguistics and Education” and “International Journal of Applied Linguistics and Translation” in the United States, NEW YORK, NY, Asian Journal of Language, Literature and Culture Studies. She is a member of the Editorial Board in London Journal Press. She is an executive secretary in the local “Pedagogy” journal. She is BSEC’s senior scholar. She is conducting seminars, training at various universities to attract students to do researches and let them develop themselves. She has published one book in Germany, Saarbrucken named “Metaphor in Political Discourse”. She compiled one “Subject Program” for a bachelor's degree in “Philology” (English language and literature) on the subject “English Stylistics and speech culture”. She is the author of numerous journal articles in local and foreign countries and cities such as in the USA, London, Georgia, Turkey, Moscow, Chezch Republic, Prague, Kazan, Volgograd, Saint Petersburg, etc. She participated and still is a participant in many local and foreign conferences, projects, workshops, seminars, training, and congresses. Several times she has been awarded the honorary title of “Successful Author”, “Quarterly Franklin Membership”, leadership award “Highly Favored Colleague”, “Appreciation” from the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Research areas of focus are stylistics, lexicology, psycho-linguistics, socio-linguistics, applied linguistics, and discourse. She defended her Ph.D. dissertation in Germanic languages.
